meet Jacob
Hi! I am Jacob and I founded swallowtailcollective after working front-line Harm Reduction Social Work and other social service positions in Downtown Toronto for the past near decade. A graduated Social Service Worker and current Bachelor of Social Work candidate, I bring a wealth of both lived & work experience, and education to the community with a passion for people and a drive to make a change.
I recognized in the community a fundamental gap in how the current social support fabric has been developed and set out to bridge the solution myself.
Of course, this can not be done alone and swallowtailcollective is determined to facilitate community, cooperation, and collaboration across its development and operations, positioning itself to be a pillar of community organization and support.
What sets swallowtailcollective a part from traditional social support services is its wholistic approach to therapeutic modalities that honour the integrity of both clinical and spiritual practices, and effortlessly strikes a balance between the space where spirit meets politics.
